Of course, considering they killed off Megatron (again), Starscream, Ironhide, Sentinel Prime, Jazz, the Fallen, Jetfire, Q (Wheeljack), Barricade, Frenzy, (didn't Soundwave and Laserbeak bite it?), the helicopter guy, Brawl, the Constructicons, Wheelie and that other little guy...actually...who is left at the end of the third movie? Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and the Nascarbots are the only robots I seem to remember still standing.
So I guess the news is that Hasbro isn't resurrecting any members of the mostly robot cast.
But to be earnest, I think acknowledging the desire to break out from the usual characters is a smart move. The franchise could use some fresh energon...and introducing new characters (if they really are new characters and not just new versions of other old characters) will preclude fans from griping that the characters don't line up with their older renditions.
And, Paramount, if you are reading, I'm still willing to offer my services as a script doctor.
You know where to find me.
